Diya's Deal

Yesterday I was really wild at Diya for tearing up the new book that her aunt gave her. She enjoys tearing up papers and eating them too... I decided to take a lil stronger action on her yesterday and took her into a dark room closed the door and waited by it for around a minute. I then picked her up from the room and said she would continue to get this punishment until she stops tearing or eating papers. After she calmed down, I gave her milk bottle and tried to get her to sleep. Asked her to finish her milk and then sleep quitely without any noise, and got back to my laptop. She finished her milk and comes back to me and says in her baby voice.. " Mommy, no cheekati room (dark room), maya piluvu (call Monster instead) " leaving me totally amazed and surprised about the options that she is exploring as a 2 yr old.. Is that normal??
